Zarpen is a municipality in the district of Stormarn in Schleswig-Holstein.

Geography

Zarpen is located on the Heilsau. In Zarpen the Ellerbek opens into the Heilsau.

History

Zarpen was first mentioned in documents in 1189. 1221 was founded the monastery Reinfeld in Zarpen the church. In 1265 Zarpen was awarded the Liibeck law as a city. Dahmsdorf

Dahmsdorf is first mentioned as Adamestorpe 1327. Since the Middle Ages, it belongs to the parish Zarpen. After dissolution of the Cistercian monastery Reinfeld Dahmsdorf came to the old plönischen Office Reinfeld, from 1867 to the parish Bailiwick District Reinfeld. In the 19th century the village consisted of four full- hooves, a Viertelhufe, a Zwölftelhufe and two leasehold sites. It then had about 130 inhabitants. 1889 came Dahmsdorf with the introduction of the Prussian municipal constitution for the District Zarpen. Since 1948 it belonged to the Official Zarpen, since 1972 to the Official North Stormarn.

Incorporations

On 1 January 1975 Dahmsdorf was incorporated into Zarpen, it then had 79 inhabitants.

Policy

Of the 13 seats in the municipal council voters Community HFC has since the municipal election held on May 26, 2013 five seats, the SPD also has five seats and the CDU three seats. The turnout was 63%.
