Zascha Moktan

Zascha Moktan (* 1981 in New Delhi, India) is a singer, pianist and guitarist German - Nepalese descent.

Biography

Moktan came six years after Germany, her parents are from Nepal and Germany. She moved from India via London, where she came to the first musical performances in a gospel choir, to Frankfurt am Main, then to Berlin. At eight years old she began playing the piano, later she joined the school choir and trained as a classical music education. In Frankfurt, she founded the mid-1990s, together with some friends a band that initially devoted himself to the punk and rock music. In 2000 she took part in a song contest, in which they " German Hessian Best Newcomer Band " won the title. During another competition she was discovered by Nigel Kennedy, who invited her to participate in some of his performances.
