Saujet el- Arjan (also Zaujet el- Arjan ) is an ancient Egyptian necropolis and archeological site. It is located approximately eight kilometers south-west of Giza. Since 1960 Saujet el- Arjan is a closed military zone, which makes recent research impossible until further notice. Today, the area is largely built over by numerous buildings, only the excavation of the base of a pyramid is on satellite images still recognizable as mine. First complete cataloging in Saujet el- Arjan made ​​1842-1846 by the Lepsius expedition. The first description of the Chaba pyramid was held by John Shae Perring in 1839. Likewise, Karl Richard Lepsius mentioned the pyramid in its reports and pointed her the number XIV in his pyramid list.

The Baka pyramid was excavated 1905-1912 by Alexandre Barsanti. In the years from 1911 to 1911 here dug an American expedition, which was only in 1978 fully published. Further research ended with Barsanti's death in 1917. A final excavation was carried out in 1954.
