Si -o- se Pol, the 33 -arch bridge over the Zayandeh

The Zayandeh or Zayandeh (Persian زایندهرود; zayandeh, life-giving ' and Rud river' ) is a river which flows through Isfahan in Iran.

The river rises in the Zagros Mountains in the province of Chahar Mahal and Bachtiyārī and flows into the province of Isfahan, where it flows into the Gavkhuni Lake, a seasonal salt lake and a wetland in the southeast of Isfahan to about 400 kilometers. The river was the biggest in Central Iran and one of the few that led water all year round. In the city of Isfahan, where he is accompanied by both sides, parks, the river was dammed, so he extended to the multiple width. Since the late 2000s, he is a large part of the year dried up due to over- exploitation of groundwater and surface water and declining rainfall.

Bridges

Over the river out several new and old bridges. The oldest is the Pol-e Shah Restan from the 5th century AD, and in 2000 was added at the last date.
