Zdechovice (Hradec Králové District)

Zdechovice ( German Zechowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers east of Nový Bydžov and belongs to Okres Hradec Králové.

Geography

Zdechovice is located on the East Bohemian panel on a 289 m high knoll between the rivers Cidlina and Bystřice. To the northwest rises the hill Chlum (284 m) and to the southwest of boron ( 271 m).

Neighboring towns are Prasek in the north, Kobylice and Stare Nechanice in the northeast, Nechanic, Stýskal and Kunčice in the east, and Budín Malé Babice the southeast, and Barchov Barchůvek in the south, Měník the southwest, Liben in the west and Metličany in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Zechowitz place in the year 1334. Since 1720 the name Zdechovice is detectable.

After the abolition of patrimonial Zechovice / Zechowitz formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Nový Bydžov. 1921 saw the introduction of the official name Zdechovice. 1961, the city was incorporated into Prasek and assigned to the Okres Hradec Králové. Since 1992, the community is again. Zdechovice is a purely rural settlement.
