Zebecke

Zebecke is a municipality in the small area Lenti, Hungary. The village with an area of 4.45 km ² has 58 inhabitants ( 2011).

History

The place was first mentioned in 1300 and was formerly surrounded by dense forest. In the Turkish wars some battles took place in the space of Zebecke. That is why the hand have been taken with the sword and the tree symbol in the coat of arms of the village.

Today, the village has no more meaning. The number of inhabitants is constantly falling, today there are 58 There are only fewer children under the age of 18 and many of the buildings are vacant houses.
