Yellow Segelflossendoktor (Zebrasoma flavescens)

The Segelflossendoktor fish ( zebrasoma ) are a genus of the family Acanthuridae. They are native to the tropical seas of the Indopazifiks, the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. In the tropical Atlantic, they are missing.

Features

Segelflossendoktor fish, depending on the type, 20 to 40 centimeters long. You have laterally flattened body with high dorsal and anal fin. These are situated at posturing. As with all Doctor fish 's mouth is terminal, at the Segelflossendoktor fish, the snout is but slightly extended. They are thus able to graze on algae even in inaccessible places for other fish species. Like all surgeonfish, they have at the base of the tail " scalpels " or bone blades. The fish use this for defense.
