Zedd (musician)
Zedd ( born September 2, 1989 in Saratov, civil Anton Zaslavski ) is a Russian- German music producer and DJ of electro house and dubstep. Zedd stands at the labels Interscope Records, Owsla and Dim Mak Records. He had the greatest success has been honored with his single Clarity, which reached the top ten in the U.S. charts and a Grammy.

Life
Zedd was born on September 2, 1989 in Russia. Growing up Zedd is the son of two musicians in Kaiserslautern. He started with four years to play the piano. From 2002 he played drums, and his brother Arkady Zaslavski and Jochen Müller in the metal / rock band Dioramic the label Lifeforce Records.
When he heard the album † of Justice in 2009, he began to be interested in electronic music.
Beginnings as a DJ
On 14 June 2011 he released his single Dovregubben. This went straight to number one on the Beatport Electro House charts.
In 2012, he co-produced with Max Martin for Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj the song included on Bieber's album Believe Beauty and a Beat, the Billboard Hot 100 reached among others. In addition, he produced I Do not Like You by Eva Simons, the song reached number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs.
2012: Clarity album and first chart success
On 2 October 2012, he released his first studio album Clarity. It debuted at number 38 of the U.S. album charts, but was represented there only a week. The first single was Shave It Up. It was published on 8 July 2011, however, failed to reach the charts.
The second single was Spectrum. The song took on Zedd together with Matthew Koma, the friend of Carly Rae Jepsen. At first it did not reach the charts, but after the song was used as a promotional song on the TV station Pro 7, it Austria and the U.S. rose in Germany, in the Top 100.
Clarity is the title of the fourth single from the same album. The song was released on February 1, 2013, and includes vocals by Foxes. On February 16, it rose in the UK charts at # 34 and reached there with his number 29 peak position. Nearly two months later, the song debuted in the U.S. charts and peaked at # 8 James Maslow - singer of Big Time Rush - coverte this song and put it on his Youtube channel. Clarity was honored at the 2014 Grammy Awards for Best Dance Recording of the Year.
In the course of 2013 he toured the whole world. He also had successful performances in major cities such as Hong Kong and Las Vegas.
With the lists published in the fall of 2013 song Stay the Night, which he recorded with the American singer Hayley Williams, he reached the charts of all countries. In Australia, the duo went platinum.
In January 2014 published Zedd together with Matthew Koma and the Swedish soul-pop singer Miriam Bryant the song Find You, which was used as the theme song for the film " Divergent ".
Activity as a writer and remixer
Zedd is in addition to his solo career, especially as a remixer active. To date, he has produced remixes for various artists from different music genres.
