Zeine Ould Zeidane

Zeins Ould Zeidane (* 1966 in Tamchekett ) is a Mauritanian politician and economist. Zeidane was in the period from 20 April 2007 to May 5, 2008 Prime Minister of Mauritania.

Career

Zeidane studied in Nouakchott and at the University of Nice Sophia -Antipolis economics and taught there after completing his studies for a short time. He returned to Mauritania, where he again pursued for a short time at the University of Nouakchott of teaching. In 2000 moved Zeidane the World Bank. In July 2004, he was head of the Mauritanian Central Bank.

In December 2006, he announced his candidacy for the office of President. With 15.27 % of the vote Zeidane was third. In the second ballot supported Sidi Mohamed Ould Cheikh Abdallahi Zeidane, who was then elected on 25 March 2007 to the President of Mauritania.
