Zeitschrift für Physikalische Chemie

The Journal of Physical Chemistry is a journal of physical chemistry, which was founded in 1887 by Wilhelm Ostwald and Jacobus Henricus van ' t Hoff Journal of physical chemistry, stoichiometry and affinity teaching.

1928, the title was shortened to Journal of physical chemistry and set a new numbering of the annual volumes.

In 1954 the magazine in a West German edition ( Academic publishing house Frankfurt, later sold to the Oldenbourg Verlag and 2013 taken over by de Gruyter) and shared an East German edition. The numbering was again redefined.

Since 1979, the West German edition appears with the English subtitles International journal of research in physical chemistry and chemical physics and published German and English technical papers.

2012 Impact Factor of the Journal of Physical Chemistry was 1,128. This took the magazine into the statistics of the Science Citation Index rank 106 of 135 considered journals in the category " Physical Chemistry ".
