Željko Milinovič

Željko Milinović ( born September 12, 1969 in Ljubljana, SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Slovenian football player and current coach.

Career

Milinović began his career with Slovan Ljubljana in Slovenia. His next club was a local rival Olimpija Ljubljana in which he played from 1992 to 1994. From 1994/95 he was at FK Željezničar Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina under contract. From 1995 to 1998 the defender was playing at NK Maribor PL in his home country of Slovenia. From 1998 to 2000 played Milinović the first time at LASK Linz in the steel city. 2000/ 01 he moved to Graz to GAK. In 2001 it moved to the Slovenian ex-national players to JEF United Ichihara to Japan. In January 2005, Milinović then returned to LASK to Linz.

Achievements

  • Participation in the Euro 2000 in Holland and Belgium ( 3 inserts).
  • Participation in the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea ( 3 inserts / 2 yellow cards ).
