Željko Šturanović

Željko Šturanović ( born January 31, 1960 in Nikšić ) is a Montenegrin politician. From 10 November 2006 to 5 February 2008, he was Prime Minister of the Republic of Montenegro.

Šturanović graduated in 1983 his law studies at the University Titograd from. He was then in the company Željezara in Nikšić in the legal department operates. From 1993 to 2001 he was a deputy in the civil chamber of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia for the Democratic Party of Socialists. Željko Šturanović is a member of the Presidium of the Democratic Party of Socialists and Head of the Executive Commission. Šturanović was considered a compromise candidate and also enjoyed a certain prestige in the opposition. His wife is related to the former Union President Svetozar Marović.
