Zellberg

Cell is a municipality with 645 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the Zillertal valley and belongs to the district of Schwaz in Tirol ( Austria ). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Zell am Ziller.

Geography and History

Cell mountain located in the upper Zillertal, adjacent to Zell am Ziller on the left bank of the Ziller and opposite the mouth of the Gerlostals. The municipality consists of the villages and mountain cell Zellbergeben. The highest farm is situated at 1100 m above sea level. The church has existed since 1817.

In Zellbergeben on the valley floor are located the seat of the municipality, catering and tourism businesses and a number of industrial and commercial enterprises, such as Maschinenfabrik AL -KO Kober with an additional location in Ramsau im Zillertal. Through these businesses Cell mountain has to have balanced numbers of commuters.

The district of Zell mountain is formed by the settlements and farms on the mountain slope, which are accessible by paved -paths. In the alpine area of the municipality there are some alpine huts.

A special feature of the village is that it has not a complete duct system for disposal of waste water, unique in the Zillertal. Furthermore, there is in most of the community for the households not connected to a public drinking water system. The firefighters is possible for the Zellbergeben by 6 hydrants, hardly possible for the rest of the municipality due to the lack of infrastructure, however.

Traffic

Cell mountain is connected through the road and the Zillertal Zillertal Bahn (station in Zell am Ziller ). In addition, can be approached from cell mountain from the summit section of the Zillertal High Road.
