The Zellerrain, also Zellerrain ( 1121 m above sea level. A. ) is a mountain pass in the Alps Ybbstaler west of Mariazell. It lies on the border between Lower Austria and Styria.

The Federal Highway 71 leads as Zellerrain road over Neuhaus am Zellerrain ( 998 m) and the pass Zellerrain to Erlaufsee and to Mariazell. Due to the large slope on the Styrian side and the typical local harsh weather conditions, it was often blocked by snowfall. With a realignment in 2004, the slope of 22% to max was. 12-15 % reduced.

The pass is the starting point for several hikes, such as the Feldwiesalm that Gemeindealpe, over the Riffelsattel to Lackenhof or on the Oetscher. The Ybbs River originates at a distance of approximately 3 km ( straight line ) at the foot of the Great Zellerhutes and contributes to Lunz am See the name Ois.
