Zemst is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 22 249 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). It is next to the main town of the districts Elewijt Eppegem, Hofstade, Weerde, Zemst - Laar and Zemst -Bos.

Mechelen is 4 kilometers (km ) north of the city center of Brussels, about 16 km south and 26 km north of Antwerp.
