Zénith de Paris

The Zénith in the Parc de la Villette in Paris is considered the most important concert hall in France ( Zenith ).

The Zénith was built in 1983 on the initiative of the then Minister of Culture Jack Lang and consecrated on January 12, 1984 with a concert by French singer Renaud.

The square hall comprises 6200m ² and has 5830 seats, a total of 6400 seats.

The architects Philippe Chaix and Jean -Paul Morel had commissioned to design a modular hall for rock concerts, sporting and other events. They developed a lightweight metal frame structure, which can be easily modified and adapted to the needs of each presentation. Since opening occurred at the Zénith on over 2000 groups, including all known French-speaking rock bands and musicians, but also many foreign groups.

As of the Eiffel Tower was the Zenith of a planned three-year prototype. The success of the concept of " Zenith " was so large that the hall continues to operate and the concept has been given to other French cities under license.
