Zeno of Tarsus
Zeno of Tarsus was a Greek philosopher of the late 3rd and early 2nd century BC He probably was born in 235 BC and is of Phoenician origin. He was a member of Zeno of Citium founded Stoicism. By founding his own school, he gained recognition quickly. Zeno of Tarsus was a son of Dioscorides and pupil of Chrysippus of Soli. Diogenes Laertius handed, he had left few writings, but it is said to have trained a number of students.
