Zentrum für Biodokumentation

The Center for Biodokumentation ( ZfB ) of the Saarland State Office for Environmental Protection and Occupational Safety is headquartered in Landsweiler speeches, in the municipality of ship hamlet. Its mission is to document and preserve the flora and fauna of the Saarland.

Formation

The Saarland University offers since the reorganization in 1998 at no studies to biogeography more, so that the collections for this focus were homeless. Collections

In ZfB following collections are located:

  • The herbarium of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation

Activities

The ZfB sees itself as a start-up and service center for all volunteer naturalists, authorities and planners as well as a modern information center. The institution cares about the detecting species of native butterflies, restored and preserved the permanent loan obtained.
