Zepkow is a municipality in the southwest of the district Mecklenburg Lake District Mecklenburg -Vorpommern. The community is managed by the Office Robel -Müritz based in the city Robel / Müritz.


The municipality is located Zepkow in the Mecklenburg Lake District Mecklenburg in the south, near the border with Brandenburg. The agricultural community is located on the upper Elde near the headwaters. The hilly area south of Zepkow reaches 90 m above sea level. NN. The only lake within the municipal area is the Demminer lake. In about three kilometers away, are currently the Massower lake and the Mönchsee. The nearest towns are Robel / Müritz and Wittstock / Dosse.


In 1285 the original Slavic populated and applied as Angersdorf site first appeared in a document. Economy, Transport and Infrastructure

Although the federal motorway 19 ( Rostock- Wittstock / Dosse) runs through the municipality, Zepkow is off the national road links. The nearest railway station is located in the 17 km distant city Wittstock / Dosse.


The cultural center of the village is developed by the Zepkower citizens forge. Furthermore, a new athlete home was built in 1997.
