Zeraphine

Zeraphine is a band that in 2000 by Sven Friedrich and Norman Selbig (both former members of Dreadful Shadows ) was founded.

Band History

Created from Dreadful Shadows project Zeraphine heard at the beginning or in the name of "Helix", but the one had to give up after it was discovered that he was already used by another band. After that, the Hebrew word " seraphim " caught my eye, from its plural " Seraphim " today's name " Zeraphine " was born. In the center of the project are Sven Friedrich and Norman Selbig that are supported by the other three musicians who contribute their ideas and also represent the live line-up. Their fifth album Whiteout was published on 11 June 2010.

Music style

The musical style of Zeraphine is somewhere between dark rock and alternative rock, occasionally also electronic compositions joined added to the sung in English or German songs. Released in 2002 album " Cold Sun" is sung entirely in German, published in 2003 during the " World Trauma " is almost completely sung more alternative rock -heavy and in English. In 2005, the album " Blind Camera ", which combines both musical styles and is a mixture of English and German songs appeared. 2006 the band released the album " Still", which in turn contains a mixture of German and English songs and compared to the three older albums slightly harder fails. In June 2007 has been published by Years in Black, the first best-of album of the band. After a three year break, the band released in 2010 their fifth studio album " Whiteout ", which is a little harder than the previous album and contains mostly English songs.

In addition to working as Zeraphine frontman vocalist Sven Friedrich dedicated, among other things his solo electro project Solar Fake and plays some live performances with its 2011 reunited band Dreadful Shadows.
