Zettel’s Traum

List 's Dream ( PAD 'S DREAM in the spelling of the author ) is the monumental work published in 1970 by the writer Arno Schmidt. The title alludes to, among others, on the Weber Niklaus List of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream.

Content

The action takes place on a summer day in 1968, the four main characters spend in the village Oedingen in the Celler Ostheide from 4 clock until the following morning. The Rape pressure

The book came in 1970 so strong interest that the very expensive edition was sold out within a few months, what a Berlin collective of robbery printers - initiated in the fall of 1970 to a pirate print at half size - much to the chagrin of the author. Arno Schmidt found himself in his precarious existence threatened because his publisher said that one could not even take the risk of a further typescript output when could be expected immediately with a pirated version.

Until October 2010 List 's dream was only available in different scaled facsimile editions of the original typescript; to the set output Friedrich Forssman, developed within the Bargfelder issue for several years.

  • The work appeared in 1970 originally in a limited first 2000 volumes, signed edition in DIN A3 format in Stahlberg Publisher.
