Zhang Lirong

Zhang Lirong (Chinese张 丽荣/张 丽荣, Pinyin Zhang Lirong, born March 3, 1973) is a former Chinese long-distance runner.

In 1992 she won over 3000m bronze medal at the IAAF World Junior Championships.

The following year, she finished fourth at the Chinese Championships in the marathon and won gold over 3,000 m at the East Asian Games. About the same distance she was at the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart as part of a third-place podium pure Chinese: Gold went to Qu Yunxia, silver to Zhang Linli. At the Track Asia Championships, she won silver in the 10,000 m.

Shortly thereafter, she remained at the Chinese National Games both as a forerun Second as well as Final Fifth under the old world record by Tatjana Kasankina.
