Zhenbao Island

Zhenbao Dao (珍宝岛; russ: Damanski ) is an inland island in the Sino-Russian border river Ussuri. It is located in the independent city Hulin, which belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Jixi in Heilongjiang Province.

Zhenbao Dao has an area of ​​0.74 km2. It belongs historically to China, but had been occupied by Tsarist Russia. In 1969, she was the most important scene of the border conflict at the Ussuri with the Soviet Union, which wanted to take alleged rights under the tsars. 2005 was finally resolved by mutual ratification of the border treaty between the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation that Zhenbao Dao is Chinese territory. Considered Administratively, the island is now a community of the city and as a community Hulin Zhenbaodao means (珍宝岛 乡).
