Zhirayr Poghosyan

Schirajr Tewanowitsch Poghosyan (Armenian Ժիրայր Թեւանի Պողոսյան, Russian Погосян, Жирайр Теванович; * on January 15, 1942 in Martuni, Karabakh ) is an Armenian politician.

He studied in Stepanakert and attended 1960-1965 Polytechnic Institute Yerevan. After his PhD he worked until 1969 as a technician, engineer, senior engineer and designer at the Scientific Research Institute. From 1969 to 1971 he was the lead designer at the Scientific Research Institute for Microelectronics. In 1971 he moved to the Electrical Engineering Institute, where he remained until 1990, and then one after the other group leader, Deputy Head of Department, Head of Department, Deputy Director for Research Projects and Research senior researcher was.

In June 1998, he replaced Leonard Petrosyan as Prime Minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh and remained there until 24 June 1999. He was replaced by Anuschawan Danieljan.
