Zhong Ding

King Zhong Ding (Chinese中 丁; † around 1549 BC) reigned as the tenth or eleventh king of the Shang dynasty for 11 years ( according to another source, 13 years) with China. He was the son of King Tai Wu. He had two spouses guǐ (Chinese癸) and Míng Jǐ (Chinese名 己). He moved the capital from Bó (Chinese亳) to Áo (Chinese隞, in today's Henan Province, China). This was the first move of the capital after the founding of the Shang Dynasty. In the Shang Dynasty, the capital moved several times. Ma, Zhibin provides four main reasons: 1 floods, second one followed the herds of cattle, 3 avoiding too pompous royal household and fourth throne disputes.

After the era of Zhong Ding, the royal family often began to argue about the heir to the throne, and the rule " Older brother King may crown dead, his younger brother " was abandoned.
