Zhongshan Soccer Stadium

The Zhongshan Soccer Stadium (台北 中山 足球场) is a stadium in Taipei, capital of Taiwan. It can accommodate 20,000 spectators at football matches and up to 40,000 visitors of concerts. It was the home of the football team in the country. The stadium is located in the district of Zhongshan, hence the name.

In March 2007, the city government decided to the stadium on 1 July 2008 temporarily close, hold at 2010 in the International Garden and Horticulture Exhibition Stadium. The National Football Federation protested vigorously, because the Zhongshan Stadium was at this time the only stadium in Taiwan, which was approved by FIFA. If the stadium was closed, so the Taiwanese football team could deny no more international games. The association reached a postponement of the closure until November 2008.

The national football team of Taiwan to bear its international matches since then from the World Games Stadium in Kaohsiung or Taipei Municipal Stadium renovated in the meantime.
