Zhongyuan Tower

The TV Tower Zhengzhou ( also: Henan Province Radio and Television Tower ) is a TV tower in China's Zhengzhou. Laying the foundation stone of the tower was on 27 December 2006; and was completed in 2010. It was opened in February 2011 for the public. Since its opening, it is the tenth highest TV tower in the world, the fifth highest in China and the highest purely built of steel tower of the earth.

Description

An architectural element is the tapered shape of the tower shaft. The stem is formed from a central core, to entwine itself the tubular structural elements. The construction of the TV tower was part of a large-scale city building project with the participation of Kisho Kurokawa Japanese architect. The tower basket has an amorphous form, which consist of several composite cone that aspire towards upward and apart form the glass platforms. The glass surfaces are repeatedly interrupted by golden facade parts. In the third and fourth floor of the tower top is 18 meters high, 164 meters long and a surface area of ​​3012 square meters, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records largest panorama painting in the world. The tip forms a substance used as antennas steel framework mast, which rises directly from the roof of the tower top.

The tower claimed an area of ​​141 hectares and has an area of ​​58,000 square meters. It is designed to broadcast up to 36 radio and television programs in a radius of 120 kilometers.
