Zhou Zhonghe

Zhou Zhonghe (Chinese =周忠 和, Pinyin Zhou Zhonghe, born January 19, 1965 in Jiangdu, Jiangsu Province) is a Chinese paleontologist. He is one of the first to describe the fossil remains of the primitive bird Conficiusornis.

Zhou studied at Nanjing University and then worked at the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing.

Zhou has emerged through research on the birds of the Mesozoic era ( Mesozoic ) in China. He is a leading expert on the early evolution of birds.
