Zhu Guo

Zhu Guo (Chinese朱 国, Pinyin Zhū Guó, born June 14, 1985 in Fuxin ) is a Chinese Taekwondo. It starts in the weight category up to 80 kilograms.

Zhu played his first international title fights at the 2007 World Championships in Beijing. In the category up to 78 kg, he reached the quarter-finals, missed a medal after a defeat against Balázs Tóth but scarce. Another successful event was the following year, 2008. Zhu moved in the Asia Cup in Henan to the final and won after a Niederlageg against Farzad Abdollahi silver with his first international medal. At the Olympic Games in Beijing, Zhu home started in the class up to 80 kg. After an opening victory, he was defeated in the quarterfinals Hadi Saei Bonehkohal, but fought his way through the repechage to the small final, where he defeated Aaron Cook and won the bronze medal.

After the Games, Zhu not made ​​the leap into the Chinese national team. He only started again at the Military World Championship 2011 in Rio de Janeiro, where he reached the quarter-finals.
