Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy

The Military Academy of Engineers of the Air Force, " Prof. NJ Zhukovsky "(Russian Военно - воздушная инженерная академия имени профессора Н. Е. Жуковского ) is one of the oldest military colleges of the former Soviet Union.

In 1919 the Moscow aviator pilot plant was established at the suggestion of Nikolai Zhukovsky Jegorowitsch. From 1920 the establishment was called the Institute of Engineers of the Red Air Fleet. Over the next five years, the name changed to the Air Force Academy (1922 ) and the Military Academy of the Air Force (1925 ). Since 1946, the institution bears the actual name. After the death of Zhukovsky 1922, the Academy was given his name. The Military Academy is located in Moscow.

The main focus lies in the training of military engineers for the Air Force. She is also the center for the development of problems in the field of aviation technology and its use.
