Zidanta I.

Zidanta I. was of about 1560 to 1550 BC (middle chronology ) Hittite Great King.

Zidanta was a member of the high nobility and son of the Hittite Hantili I, who was a brother of the great king Mursili I.. With its accession to the throne was obviously disagree a part of the Hittite nobility. Therefore Zidanta and Hantili went, alone is not secured, " up to the palace " and killed Mursili. Hantili was now High King, and when he tried to make his son Piseni successor, was killed there by Zidanta.

Zidanta was great king, but there are no records that can be assigned to his reign beyond doubt. Finally Zidanta was murdered by his son Ammuna.
