Ziegendorf
Ziegendorf is a municipality of the district Ludwigslust - Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Parchimer surrounding headquartered in Parchim.
Geography and transport
The municipality is situated 18 kilometers south of Parchim. Federal highway 321 runs north-east and the main road 5 southwest of the community. The Federal Highway 24 is accessible via the six kilometers to junction Parchim. Goat village lies at the foothills of the mountains Ruhner. The municipality is bordered to the south by the state of Brandenburg. West of the village flows the Löcknitz.
The municipality consists of the villages Drefahl, Meierstorf, Pampin, Platschow, Stresendorf and Ziegendorf.
There are the following districts
History
Pampin was first documented in 1410. The first mention Drefahls as Dreual dates back to 1438th The place name is derived from the old Slavic word for Druva wood or wood from. The place name is therefore likely to mean forest village. The place Ziegendorf is a German foundation and dates from the time of the colonization of the East.
The former Berger districts Pampin and Platschow were incorporated in 1992 from the 1990 to Brandenburg belonging circle pearl mountain in the Parchim.
