Ziethen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Ziethenstraße is a municipality in the center of the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern. It is administered by the Office Züssow based in Züssow since 1 January 2005 and was previously the headquarters of the Office Ziethenstraße.

Geography and transport

Ziethenstraße is located four kilometers north of Anklam and about 20 kilometers east of Gützkow. In the south, the municipality borders the valley of the Peene.

By the northeastern part of the township the federal highway 109, which runs further after crossing-free junction to the main road 110 to the island of Usedom on the eastern boundary of the municipality to Anklam runs. The westernmost part of the country road runs 263 after Gützkow where the next connection to the BAB is 20. About the L 263 leads the tourist route " West Pomeranian village street ".

Ziethenstraße lies on the railway line Angermuende - Stralsund, has on her but no breakpoint. Rail connection is in Anklam and Züssow.

Seat of the municipality is in the former office building in Ziethenstraße. There is now the Department of Citizen Services ( National Register, a registry office, clerk's office, school administration ) of the Office Züssow since 2005.

History

Ziethenstraße was first mentioned in documents as Sitne 1136. The name is Slavic in origin and means corn country. Ziethenstraße was a Slavic and early German Province ( terra ). The Slavic origin was also confirmed by many archaeological finds and excavations, the latter in the construction of large Straßenabzweigung " redoubt ". In the papal bull of 1140 Ziethenstraße was mentioned as Castrum Sithem. Also in the episode were very often documented responses recorded. In early German period, the less important as a province, much remains of the church and then the resulting landlord farming. The Knights gender Buggenhagen, Lepel and Owstin are called. The longest it was the Owstine that the estate owned from 1485 to 1779. This was followed by Kruse and five more, but short-term owners, until 1858 Hellmuth Otto Friedrich Graf von Schwerin Dettlof bought the estate and which remained in the family until 1945.

1865 had Ziethenstraße 206 inhabitants, one church, one school, two other public buildings, 19 houses, 3 factory buildings ( mill, etc. ) and 20 outbuildings.

The manor house was built in 1818 in neoclassical style in the type of the Prussian strict storey country house. It is more reminiscent of a farmhouse. The austere facade is divided by drawn-down windows and dormers. The only decoration is a hash family coat of arms above the entrance of Schwerin. 1905 saw the construction of the music hall. 1922, the building was rebuilt.

Last owner from 1908 of 746 acres of good Ziethenstraße 1945 was Bernhard Graf von Schwerin, he was District President of Pomerania.

1945 was followed by expropriation and Aufsiedelung through land reform, and around 1960 the transition to LPG - Economic and after 1990, the privatization of agriculture. After 1945, the mansion was used by the local government, the nursery and the consumer. The building now holds various offices, including the church office.

About Jargelin ( also called early Gargelin ), there is little information, since it was besitzlich long time connected with Salchow, see there (municipality Klein Bünzow ). The Good Jargelin came in 1851 to Heinrich von Below, his brother Eduard Friedrich Wilhelm at the same time received the nearby Good Salchow.

Jargelin had 81 inhabitants in 1865, including one tenant with 8 members, one administrator, five servants and handmaids 5, 17 male and 17 female day laborers, and four servants of domination. On buildings were present: 1 public building, six homes and 11 farm buildings.

Menzlin was named as " Manzelina " in 1231 for the first time.
