Zina Kocher

Zina Kocher ( born December 5, 1982 in Red Deer ) is a Canadian biathlete.

Boiler starts for the Rocky Mountain Racers. The student is since 2001 member of the Canadian national team and is coached by coach Roger Archambault. She lives in Canmore. Zina Kocher operates since 1998 Biathlon. In the World Cup she made her debut in 2002 at the fourth station of the year, Oberhof. First points they collected as 26 in a single race in 2003 Osrblie. In the sprint at the same World Cup they first came in the top 10 in the next two years, they could not repeat these good results, until 2005, she was also placed once again in the top 20 of the World Cup. Since then, she comes regularly in the points and reached with a third place at the season opener of the 2006/07 season in Ostersund for the first time a front rank, and thus the opening in the top. It is named after Myriam Bédard only the second Canadian biathlete who managed this. Her career was interrupted after 2007 glandular fever was diagnosed in October.
