Zita-Eva Funkenhauser

Zita radio Hauser ( born July 1, 1966 in Satu Mare, Romania) is a former German foil fencer, who had more time Olympic gold medalist and world champion.

Sports career

In 1979 she moved to Germany with her parents from Romania.

Radio Hauser was among a group of fencers from Tauberbischofsheim that dominated the German and international fencing for over a decade and, inter alia, more Olympic medals won.

In 1984, she was junior athlete of the year and was with the team Olympic champion. In 1987 she was third in the choice of " Sportswoman of the Year ". In the same year she won the silver medal at the World Fencing Championships in Lausanne.

At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 she won the bronze medal in singles and defended the team title. At the World Cup the following year in Denver, they could also reach the 3rd place.
