Pilgrimage history

Pilgrimages to go back to the year 1580, when a white dressed woman of small stature, who had covered her face with a white veil, a 18- year-old girl in the above stone appeared, which had gone up the mountain to gather wood. The woman said to the girl:

" Go and tell the people in the land Above stone, it had now sinned so much that no more could be endured. If it is not better, God will punish it severely, so that he not only wither the crops, but the people of the 'll let die youngest to the oldest. I can no longer insert intercession with my son for this people. "

After the woman had gone, the girl dared to tell anyone about it. The following day, when it came to the same place, it appeared that recently the same woman and asked it why it did not tell the people what she had told him. When the girl answered that it was entitled to say anything, she repeated again the same thing, adding that it should have no fear, and the people saying there should repent and keep up with the cross processions and then God will easily forgive him the sins. The girl should not omit to inform the Brushed the people this time, otherwise it will be even punished.

Nevertheless, the girl did not dare to tell someone something like this and the following night, when it was sleeping next to his mother, began a voice to call the girl. When the mother heard the voice for the second time, they asked who call. In the answer, they will not call, but her daughter, she woke them, and the voice repeated the same as the two previous times. Then the mother asked her daughter what had happened and whether the woman had earlier spoken to her. The mother told the following day everything she had learned from her daughter with another woman, and they told it to her husband. Since this reported to the bailiff of the High Court report, the bailiff mother and daughter took the examination and prescribed processions, in which each time attended by over 3000 people.

Eight days later, the same woman appeared a 16- year-old boy in Ziteil: He saw a woman in prayer at a small source kneel. When he tried to call for fear two men to help, the woman called the boy lovingly to him and told him the same as before the girl, adding that they have not ceased to pray for her son for the people. But it was necessary that the people truly converted and continued driving with the processions because they would otherwise not be heard. Before she went away, he saw her flushed knee, as if to show that it was necessary to struggle in prayer. After he had gone a few steps, he turned around to see the woman, but she was gone. When they began to hold processions, all withered crops again began to green and woke hope for a very good harvest.

These events are recorded in a report dated July 6, 1580, the, has created for submission to the apostolic nuncio, Giovanni Francesco, Bishop of Vercelli, the bailiff of the High Court Above Stone, Albert de Baselgia and is located in the Vatican Archives. The tradition says that the shepherd Giatgen Dietegen de Marmels have told and that in order to reaffirming his statement that evening was Ziteil shines in radiant light.
