Zivania

Zivania (Greek: Ζιβανία, Turkish: Zivaniye ) is a Cypriot grape marc.

Since the 14th century Zivania is made from fermented grape pomace in Cyprus. Since 2004, the term Zivania is protected by the EU and may only be used for manufactured products in Cyprus.

The drink is colorless and has a slight raisin flavor. The alcohol content is usually about 45 % by volume.
