Zliechov

Zliechov ( German glassworks, Hungarian Zsolt - to 1902 Zljechó ) is a municipality in the north-western Slovakia.

It includes parts of the municipality Zliechov and Kosecke Rovné. A former district is Gapel ( German Gapel ), it belongs since 1960 to the municipality of Bela Valaská.

The village was first mentioned in writing in 1272 as Zlieho, the inhabitants were engaged in agriculture. Mid-18th century it came to the influx of glassblowers from Bohemia, this built in what was then part of municipality Gapel a glass blowing factory on.

In the village there is the church of Saint Lawrence of 1480th
