Žlobin

Zhlobin ( weisruss.: Жлобін, Russ: Жлобин ) is a city in Belarus in the Homelskaja Woblasz. It is located on the Dnieper River and has 72 553 inhabitants ( 2010). Zhlobin is the administrative center of the Rajons Zhlobin.

Zhlobin was first mentioned in 1492. The city is the site of the steel producers BMZ, the world's largest manufacturer of steel cables. The company is a major employer in Zhlobin.
