Żmigród

Żmigród [' ʐmigrut ] ( German: Trachenberg ) is a Polish town in powiat Trzebnicki in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and is located on the Bartsch. By 1945 Trachenberg was a town in the district Militsch the Prussian government district Breslau.

The coat of arms of Żmigród shows in red field a gray tower, which is crowned with a golden cross. To the tower winds up a green dragon.

Science and Education

Railway attempt Ring

A few kilometers west of the town, the railway test track from Instytut Kolejnictwa. It was formerly by the Polish State Railway (Polish: Polskie Koleje Państwowe, PKP) operated and includes besides the railway tracks a research center and a branch of the Research Institute for highways and bridges from Warsaw.
