Žmuidzinavičius Museum

The Žmuidzinavičius Museum in Kaunas, Lithuania is generally known as the Devil's Museum. It houses a collection of about 3000 images of devils as sculptures or carvings that are most popular kind and come from all over the world.

History

The collection was the painter Antanas Žmuidzinavičius (1876-1966) founded and subsequently developed by many individual donations. Of particular interest is a representation of Hitler and Stalin as devils, who perform on an area littered with human bones play a dance of death.

In 1966, the museum in the house of Antanas Žmuidzinavičius of 1929 was established, today it is located in a separate annex in 1982.
