Zofia Bielczyk

Zofia Bielczyk (born Filip, born September 22, 1958 in Warsaw ) is a former Polish sprinter and hurdler.

In the Indoor Athletics Championships 1977 in San Sebastián, she won silver over 60 meters hurdles. The following year she was at the European Indoor Championships in Milan in the same discipline and came fifth at the European Athletics Championships in Prague with the Polish team in the 4 x 100 - meter relay team to fifth place.

In 1980 she won at the European Indoor Championships in Sindelfingen gold over 60m hurdles and was fourth on 60 m. At the Olympic Games in Moscow, she was eighth over 100m hurdles, finishing with the Polish quartet to seventh place in the 4 x 100 - meter relay. 1981 was followed by a gold medal in the 50 meters hurdles at the European Indoor Championships in Grenoble.

In 1980, she was Polish champion in the 100 m and 200 m. In the hall she won three national titles over 60 m ( 1979-1981 ) and once over 60 m hurdles (1981).

Her husband Piotr Bielczyk was successful as a javelin thrower.
