Zoilos I.

Zoilos I was an Indo- Greek king of the second century BC, which is so far known only from his coins.

His coins were found in the Hindu Kush and Afghanistan, which should represent its approximate dominion. His chronology is disputed; in the earlier research, he was (about 150-130 BC) recognized under Menander, but there are two coins of Zoilos I., which were overprinted by Menander, so maybe I Zoilos a contemporary and even opponent was. On his coins Zoilos I. is called Dikaios ( " the righteous "). Point to the front of his portrait on the back often Herakles with inscriptions in Kharoshthi.
