Zoldo Alto

Zoldo Alto ( in the Ladin dialect: Zoldo Aut) is a Northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 952 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Belluno in Veneto. The municipality is situated approximately 27 kilometers north-northwest of Belluno in the Val di Zoldo and belongs to the Comunità Montana Cadore Longaronese Zoldo. The administrative center of the municipality is located in the district of Fusine. Here arises the Maè, which flows into the Piave.

Traffic

Passing through the municipality, the former State Road 251 della Val di Zoldo e Val Cellina (now a provincial road ) from Portogruaro to Colle Santa Lucia.

Sports

Besides the importance of the place as a ski resort 2005 was milestone in the Giro d' Italia.
