Zoltan Gyimesi

Zoltán Gyimesi ( born March 31, 1977) is a Hungarian chess master.

In 2005, he won the Hungarian championship. In the same year he was also the rapid chess championship in Warsaw decide for himself where he could defeat in the semifinals veteran Viktor Korchnoi. Gyimesi has the Grandmaster title in 1996 and represented Hungary at the Chess Olympiads since 2002 in Bled. In the German Chess League since the 1996/97 season playing for the club Epping, in the Austrian Bundesliga 1 earlier for Union Amsfelden, in the season 2008 /09 for the SK Sparkasse Jenbach and the Bosnian Premijer league for the ŠK Bihać.

His current and previous highest Elo rating is 2674, which he first reached in July 2012.

He is married to the woman grandmaster Nóra Medvegy.
