Zoltán Kemény

Zoltán Kemény [ Zolta ː n kɛme ː ɲ ] ( born March 2, 1907, in Banica, county Hunyad, Transylvania, Austria - Hungary, now Banita, Romania, † June 14, 1965 in Zurich, Switzerland ) was a Hungarian sculptor, painter and architect.

From 1942 he lived and worked as a fashion illustrator and editor of a magazine in Zurich. As an artist, he was known by collages and abstract metal reliefs. Previously, he was the only Hungarian sculptor a prize at the Biennale of Venice. He took part in documenta 2 in Kassel in 1959 and the documenta III in 1964. For the foyer of the Municipal Theater in Frankfurt am Main, he created the hanging from the ceiling metal sculptures group gold clouds.

He was married to Madeleine Kemény - Szemere.
