Zomergem is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 8214 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). The community is adjacent to the eponymous capital nor from the two districts Oostwinkel and Ronsele.

Eeklo located 7 kilometers north, 14 km southwest of Ghent, Bruges, 25 km north- west, Antwerp and Brussels 60 km northeast about 63 km to the southeast.
