Zootaxa

Zootaxa is an international journal for zoological taxonomy. It is produced since May 2001 almost every day both online and in printed form in English and published by Magnolia Press, Auckland, New Zealand. Founder and chief editor is Dr. Zhi- Qiang Zhang.

By the end of 2012 3637 issues have been published with 9307 taxonomic works, in which 26373 new taxa have been described. The publication of the article is based on a peer -review process by the editorial team. A high proportion of the work appears as open access publications. In addition to the regular journal issues also reinforced monographs and books are published.

Zootaxa is indexed by BIOSIS in the Zoological Record and by the Institute for Scientific Information in Science Citation Index Expanded and Current Contents / Agriculture, Biology and Environmental Sciences.
