Zoran Erceg

Zoran Erceg ( Serbian Cyrillic Зоран Ерцег; born January 11, 1985 in Pakrac, SR Croatia) is a Serbian professional basketball player. After career start in his Serbian homeland Erceg played in Greece and Turkey and a year with CSKA Moscow in Russia. The Serbian national team won with his club teams so far the international competitions Euro Challenge 2012, the VTB United League in 2013 and the ABA league in 2004. At national titles Erceg won the Russian and Turkish championship and cup competitions in Serbia and Montenegro, Greece and Turkey. Since the 2013/14 season he plays in the Türkiye Ligi Basketbol, this time for the Turkish champions Galatasaray SK Liv Hospital of Istanbul.

Career

Erceg moving in 2003 to the Serbian capital for FMP Železnik, who took that time under the name sponsors reflex. In the 2003 /04 season they won the Serbian- Montenegrin Cup competition and was national runner-up. A year later Erceg won with the club in 2004 the title in the ABA league and could again in 2005 to win the cup competition of Serbia and Montenegro. In the 2005/06 season he was loaned to the end of the season KK Borac Čačak out while his teammates again won the ABA league. In the season 2011/12 Erceg played for Beşiktaş JK in Istanbul, Türkiye Milangaz Basketbol Ligi. Together with Carlos Arroyo and Pops Mensah-Bonsu, he was one of the protagonists in the first second title of a Turkish club team in a European competition. At 91:86 - Final victory over Élan Chalon he dominated with 25 points and 15 rebounds the frontcourt along with Mensah - Bonsu, who contributed 26 points and 20 rebounds and was named " Most Valuable Player " of the final game. In the 2012/13 season Erceg played for the dominant Russian series champion CSKA Moscow, in which it failed after a hamstring injury early in the season for several months.
