Zouk (Club)

Zouk is a globally oriented, techno and house club in Singapore. The club was voted by the readers of the British DJ Magazine's # 5 on the Top 100 Clubs of 2012.

The club with a capacity of 3000 people was opened in a warehouse near the Singapore River in 1991. Gradually, the main hall has been extended to new areas.

• Velvet Underground: quieter and exclusiverer lounge area ( music: House )
• Phuture bar (music: Hip- Hop, Broken Beats)

At Singapore's most successful nightlife events of Wednesday called Mambo Jambo is one of Zouk. Stylistically this house and dance is mixed with pop music.

Since 2000, the electronic festival ZoukOut is organized annually on the island of Sentosa Siloso Beach. Here, up to 25,000 people are Expecting in appearances world-renowned DJs.
